Word is not saving a document I have edited with tracking.

What version of Word and Mac OS X?

Where are you trying to save the doc (e.g., local disk, network)? Do you
have permissions set to write to that directory?

What error message do you receive, if any?

What, if anything, *is* Word doing when you try to save?

Check your preferences. There is an option to "Warn before saving..." if
tracked changes are in use.
