Not seeing tasks in My Tasks view

MK

The task is #463 - UAT Support/bug fixing. I have a committed resource that
is assigned a task. It is a fixed duration task from 8/14/09 – 10/8/09. I
am also a resource assigned to this task and I cannot see it under My Tasks
either. I just tried publishing again, just in case, but still no luck.

Any ideas as to why we can't see this?

In the Microsoft Project 2007 enterprise project, insert the Publish field
in any task View, such as the Gantt Chart view. Is the Publish field value
set to Yes? If not, change it to Yes. In the enterprise project, click
Tools - Build Team from Enterprise. In the dialog, are you and the other
resource set to Committed in the Booking field in the list of team members
on the right? If not, set each of you to Committed and click the OK button.
Click File - Publish to publish the latest changes to your project. Let us
know if this helps.

I have a similar problem in PWA. I can see ALL tasks assigned, regardless of
resource, for projects i create. The resources, however, cannot see any
tasks. If I reassign one of my tasks, then the resource can see it. All
resouces are committed by default and the project is published. Is this a
(simple) permission issue?
Thanks, Jeff

Your problem is unrelated to the other user's problem. In your case, your
Project Server administrator has missed a key step in setting up the
resources in your organization's Enterprise Resource Pool, when he/she
failed to specify the Default Assignment Ower value for every resource.
Refer to the following FAQ for the steps that the Project Server
administrator needs to complete, and the steps you must complete as the PM:

Hope this helps.
