Not want buttoncontrols to print

I don't want the controls I but on a word document to
print. Is there a way to also not have them save in the
document when the document is saved?

Neal, I am not clear what you mean by printing controls,
but perhaps you're seeing a print out of the document
properties.

You can check what will be included in your printed
document by clicking...

Tools | Options | Print: clear the document properties and
field code boxes if they are checked.

To hide the controls during printing, see

To remove them during saving, you're going to need a macro that intercepts
the print command and deletes the controls, then saves. See
