Note Flag Summary question

Is there a way to hide note flags that have been checked or are dimmed ?
I tried the Tools -> Options -> NoteFlags: I've tried all combinations of
the 3 switches.

Towards the top of the Flag Summary task pane, there is a check box called
"Show only unchecked items" Click that and see if your results are closer to
what you want.
