Note Taking in Word 2007

I have to take notes in Microsoft often and was wondering how you can indent
a note point. For example, if I'm using bullet points and I just finished
typing something and I want to create a subnote about it (basically make the
black dot become a white one). In the older versions, you could just press
tab and it would do it automatically. That's not working in 2007. I know
you press enter to go back to a previous note level though

Just to clarify, I don't want to just make the note white, I want it be
indented as well.

Alt+Shift+Left/Right works regardless of whether or not you have "Set first-
and left-indent with tabs and backspace" enabled.
