Notebook 2004 section limit

I have searched and not found an answer to this simple question. What is the Notebook view section limit? If there a "real" world limit that is lower than the stated limit, whatever that is?

Thanks

We don't know yet: they have not published any performance limits for Mac
Word 2008.

I would not attempt more than 255 :) That is likely to be the "real world"
limit. I suspect the counter that keeps track of them overflows at 256 :)

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

Do you expect that 255 is the limit in Word Notebook 2004, also?

(I have yet to receive my pre-ordered Office 2008.)

Thanks again.

That's my guess, yes... I seem to remember that's the limit in a PC Word
document, where the performance limits HAVE been published...

If you want to know for sure, Google "Word 2003 performance limits" which
should take you to a Microsoft Knowledge Base article where you can look
them all up.

Just be aware that the performance of Mac Word is nowhere near that of PC
Word, so you may find that Mac Word gets very slow as you get within about
half the PC Word "limits".

Hope this helps

OK, I found the article I was looking for, and it doesn't say!!

It's http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/211489

I still think it's 255 :)
