Notebook Layout and Date Fields - Possible??

I cannot find an option to insert date fields in the Notebook layout. I
would like the same date/time field code flexibility in Notebook view as in
Normal view. Can this be done?

Yes. The options have been removed from the menus and toolbars.

You can flip into Normal View, add your fields, then flip back to Notebook
Layout.
