Hi,

I would like to know how to permanently change the default workspace background. Each time I open the notebook layout view, it's default is Graphite. I would like it to Grill each and every time.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reply. I decided to go ahead and created a customized template for what I want. I still wish there was an option to change the default.

If you open Normal.dotm and switch the view to Notebook layout, then select the appearance you want and save changes, you can get it to stick as the default. The only problem is, every time you open Word the default view is Notebook...which is fine, except when you switch to, say, Print view, then the formatting (spacing, etc.) is that of the in-built Notebook formatting (especially irritating with the default 10 pt between lines).
