Notebook Layout View

HI all, I have a special need student that uses the Notebook View in a mac
using word.
Is this feature available in word 2000. Can it be installed somehow?

Thanks in advance for any tips or solution to this problem.

Hi,

sorry, no, the notebook layout view is unique to Word 2004. However, you can
very well open a Word file containing such a notebook structure in any
modern version of Word, as it is, after all, still a Word document. The
emphasis lies on notebook layout *view*; this feature is nothing else than a
view, much like normal view and page layout view. Note however that the
notebook documents will look slightly differently in any non-2004 version of
Word, and that you will not be able to access any audio recordings, should
your student's documents include any of these.

Hi,

I'm afraid that Notebook View is a Mac only feature. For the PC, there is a
separate note-taking/note-organizing application (part of the Office suite
of applications) called OneNote, but it's not part of Word. Sorry.
