What do you think of the notebook templates (such as Work/Personal)?

1) What is your overall impression - were they useful?
1a) Did you learn anything as to how to use OneNote or to structure your
notebooks?
2) Did they get in your way?
3) Did you delete them right away or did you keep them around?
4) Any other gripes or suggestions?

What do you think of the notebook templates (such as Work/Personal)?

1) What is your overall impression - were they useful?
1a) Did you learn anything as to how to use OneNote or to structure your
notebooks?

Most of the templates looked more like ideas or samples of what could be
done rather than useful templates. It seems that almost everyone would
want to modify them significantly.

2) Did they get in your way?

Mostly, yes. There are quite a lot of them that I will never use and I
don't want them cluttering up my hard disk or templates list.

3) Did you delete them right away or did you keep them around?

If I could have figured out how to delete them I would have. If the only
way you are going to have for us to view a list of templates is in the
Template pane then we really need a way to delete them right from there.
I'm a computer pro and I just really did not feel like digging around to
figure out where the templates are stored and trying to delete them.
Besides, I know that in OneNote 2003 the templates are stored in a
special section and you gotta open the section and delete the pages from
there using some special trick to keep from confusing OneNote. Not
something regular people are going to want to do. You just need a right
click menu to easily allow the user to delete or modify an existing
template.
