Notebook View and audio note problem

I am going to go step by step of what happened because I don't know
what caused the problem. I am DESPERATE to find a solution because I
have over 2 hours of audio notes that I deperately need. PLEASE HELP!

I have been using this document in notebook view over the past few
months with no problems and now I cannot listen to the audio file at
all. I was in notebook view and listening to my audio recordings
(over 2 hours worth). I then decided to change the font (from veranda
to Georgia). Then, i could no longer type in the document. I changed
the font back to Veranda and still could not type nor hear the audio
files. I closed word and reopened. I can type at startup but noticed
my once 100+mb worth of audio file is now 40mb though it still says
2hrs of time. Once I start playing the audio, I can't hear anything
but the time sometimes does go. I also cannot type anything.
Everything then becomes "unaccessible" as in i can move my mouse but
no options are available for me to select (except save), I also cannot
type anything but oddly can select items. The only button that is
available is the "save" button. Under all the menu options (file,
edit, view etc,) I cannot choose anything. I cannot open a new
document or another document. Once I shut down word and reopen it's
fine. If i open any document, then open the "problem" document, and do
anything in the "problem" document-- all the problems will then also
happen in the other documents (unable to do anything, except save,
can't type, etc). The first few times, I was able to listen to the
audio but not type in the document while listening to the audio (also
cannot stop the audio or pause the audio). After restarting word, now
i cannot even listen to the audio in the file. This problem does not
happen in new documents and new audio recordings. Just in the
"problem" document (which I REALLY need to fix).

Please help! Thanks!

Hi Kim:

Sorry, you need to restore that document from your backup.

Documents containing audio notes frequently corrupt, and yours has done.
The file is now unrecoverable. You need to restore it from your backup.

I am afraid there is no way to salvage the existing document.

Sorry: But I might as well tell you straight, rather than waste a lot of
your time.

Sorry!
