Notebooks Sync how do I know where they are syncing

I

Ian

I have 3 notebooks where they are exact duplicates in OneNote 2007 but
only one location if I browse.

OneNote 2007
Vista SP2 32Bit

I can not fine out where they are Syncing to. Is there anyway to do
this? I trialed Sharepoint once.

It appears that Sync a Notebook is only available on creation, it
would be great to be able to manage Sync and know what was going on
and make changes.

Thanks

Hover the mouse or Pen over the Notebook name on the left, and the Tooltip
will tell you where the remote non=cached version is stored. You can also
see this and change it by right-clicking on the NOtebook name on the left
and selecting "Properties" and then "Change Location".

Thanks for that Erik I found it seems to be syncing with itself. Let me
explain.

The first instance shows
D:\Documents\OneNote Notebooks\Personal
The second instance shows
\\Ian-pc\d\Documents\OneNote Notebooks\Personal
As my computer is Ian-pc then they are both the same location.

How do you break that sync or change it?

I would like it to sync with another computer, where do you find the
settings to sync a notebook or do you have to create a new Notebook and copy
contents over?

Just close one of it, preferably the 2nd.

Make the path to that notebook (the OneNote Notebook - folder,or drive
d:) sharable, so that you can access it from "the other" computer over
the network. Then just open the shared notebook in ON from the other
computer. That's all. Now the notebook will be cached on the other
computer and synched. Never copy anything manually. ON will do it for
you (in a very special way; the notebook on Ian-pc will remain "the
original").

Way too easy Bernard. Other than SharePoint is there a way of doing this to
some online storage to sync with others over the internet? Nothing against
SharePoint other than cost.

Thanks for the info Bernard, I was waiting for Office 10 and Office Live and
I think that will be the ultimate but I will have a try with live mesh, I
wonder what the strategy of Microsoft is going down these two different
paths as there are some similarities. I would have thought they would roll
Office Live and Live Mesh in together.
