Notepad launch from batchfile

After the Office XP installation completes I have a text document with
instructions
that launches in Notepad from the batchfile. How do I prevent the users from
being
prompted to save this file?

That's a Windows batch programming issue rather than an Office issue.
However if the file already exists then you should not get any prompts. If
you. as I suspect, creating the contents on the fly, then Notepad will of
course ask if you want to save the contents before closing.

The file already exist. I simply make a call to it e.g. "notepad
c:\mydoc.txt" without the quotes.
When the users try to close Notepad it prompts to save it.
