Notes in outlook 2003

A user posed a question to me stating, that another user has access to Notes
feature in her email, is this turned on by default?, as iwith all recipients
having access to each others calendars?...? if so, can i turn off people
being able to access other people's notes?

That would be a private appointment or just free/busy information only - it
all depends on your version of exchange server and outlook.
