Notes not displayed completely & Text Styles not getting saved

Sumit

Dear All,

Need help on following queries (I am using EPM 2003)

1. In the Gantt Chart view of a Project, the notes which are entered for a
task in the mpp, is not getting fully displayed. The text upto the first
full stop is getting displayed.

2. In the MPP, different colour schemes are applied for the text. But if we
open the project after saving it, the colour schemes are not getting saved.

Any help?

Regards,
Sumit

Hi Sumit,

1. Indeed, one can only export Notes limited to 255 bytes or the first CR.

2. In .mpp, all formatting is saved with the View, in the file where ist was
applied. Are you looking at the same view? In the same file?

Jan,
I think you meant to say that Notes export is limited to 255 characters
instead of bytes.

Hi John,

I got my theory on computers in 1970 and then a character and a byte were
much the same :))

Jan,
I understand and I thought that might be the case, but for the benefit
of the poster I felt a clarification was appropriate.

Hi Jan,

The project is saved on server. Everytime I open it looses all colour styles
applied.

Sumit.

Hi Sumit,

Unfortunately I know as good as nothing about Server.
Why not try the Server newsgroup on
microsoft.public.project.server
