Nothing happens when I click on file, view, format etc.

Working away on a newsletter, putting a border around text box when --
publisher announcements appear. Something like back to front or front
to back and control M6? The upshot is that I can't do anything else to
the newsletter (except look at what I've completed so far). When I try
to type -- the arrange box appears. However, it doesn't click through
when I click on it.

Hoping someone will comprehend what I'm saying -- that is, nothing
clicks through when I click on it. I click on "edit," Nothing. I click
on "format," "tools," "help" -- nothing happens. Everything is jammed.

What to do?

Btw, I'm using Publisher 2000 on Virtual PC. My computer is a Mac OS
X.

Thanks for your help.

Mary,

I'm using Virtual PC "Windows 2000 Professional." No microphone.

Upon further discovery, I found that no programs work. Nothing
(clicks) in Publisher or MS Word. I can open files (and read files
completed) only.

May need to reinstall Virtual PC. My technical knowledge is pathetic.
Thanks for your attention and investigation into M6.

Got any other ideas?

You may need to activate Office - it sounds like it has gone into Reduced
Functionality mode.

Ed,

That's a good thought. I've never installed office before on the
Virtual PC -- it's because I already have MS Office 9 and 10 installed
on my Mac. It might be time to install Virtual PC's office. Reduced
Functionality mode, huh? That's for sure!

I'll let you know what happens. Might be awhile because I'm off
tomorrow for a 4 day fishing trip in Maine on the Canadian border. The
newsletter can wait.

Thanks for your input!
