Notification behaviour

Hello group. We are using Outlook 2002 w/ Windows XP all latest service
packs/patches.

On one workstation, Outlook is not notifying the user about new messages
properly even though it's been configured to do so. It only pops up the "you
have a new message" box when she brings Outlook to the front, or when she
clicks between subfolders of her inbox. This seems to "wake up" Outlook and
therefore notify her if there is a new message.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

PK

Thank you for your response.

This article addresses service packs (which are current) and a registry edit
I am comfortable trying...but it also says this is to fix notifications that
do not work at all...as opposed to notifications that work, but poorly (as
does this particular user in question)...do you recommend this regedit
anyway? All other installations of Outlook (30 in all) are working fine.

Thanks!

PK

I would use it if my notifications didn't work properly.
