notification of new email

hi kind of a newie with outlook,

i'm pretty sure you can change the sound of the slert you get when you get a
new email. i tried to use the hep, it said to goto the control panel, sounds
and devices, program events, windows, new mail notification, and change the
sound. i did that hit apply but i still get the standard beep from pc
speaker. can anyone help me with this?
