Why cant i be notificated for emails that dont go into the standard inbox?
That ruins the whole thing for me, do i really have to use the old Outlook
Express all my life?

What types of accounts are we talking about here? Your statement is true for
additional Exchange mailboxes but that account type is not supported by
Outlook Express so you kinda lost me there...

Rules & alerts don't work on HTTP mail like Hotmail.

Yeah, but why? Shure, rules i can understand, but why cant outlook 2k3 notify
me on new mail on http accounts? It just seems so utterly stupid...
Especially when theres no problem with outlook express.

There are a lot of options in Outlook that work only for the default
mailbox. This makes sense for a lot of Exchange mailbox features. IIRC
Outlook will display mail alerts for your HTTP account when it is set as
your default account (holding the Outlook Today folder) but doesn't do it
for any additional HTTP account or any other account.

Your request is valid; I just wanted to know what account type you were
using. When making a request be as complete as you can be like including
configuration, type of user (first time, regular, skilled, home, admin,
etc...), motivation for the feature, etc...
