Notify people of assigned Issues

When creating an issue via web project access is there a systematic way to
notify the person that an issue is assigned to them?

Hi Cindy

There is a mechanism in Project Server to notify issue owners but this is
disabled by default.

Open the issues list and select "Modify Settings & Columns" in the left hand
taks pane. It is listed under actions

Select "Change General Settings"

The final section is to set whether you want the owner to be emailed.

Does this mean you can't update the setting until there is at least one
issue for the project?

Also, who would have the ability to change the setting, only admin?

Lastly, once you change the setting I assume it is for any new issues
created for that project, correct?
