NT to XP profile

we are using roaming profile in our organization with
windows NT 4.0. when people logon to windows NT
machines, their profile are working fine, but then soon
when they logon to windows xp, their profile messes up
and I have to recreate their profile. they cannot open e-
mail, word and the whole nine yard. Any ideas??
