NTLM Security

Hello all,

We running Exchange 2000 server with the NTLMv2 security settings in our AD.
We're having trouble connecting our Mac clients with Outlook 2001 under this
setting. If we lower the security settings to use NTLM and LM they can
connect. Our mac clients want to use Outlook 2001 because if offers them
most features and we don't want to lower the security settings.

Any ideas on how we can get this to work?

Hello,

We are having this same problem. We have an initiative to retire LAN Manager
protocol on our network. As Sandhya reported, Outlook 2001 users cannot
connect to Exchange when the domain controllers are configured to only allow
NTLMv1 & NTLMv2 connections.

Can anyone confirm if Outlook 2001 requires LAN Manager?
