Nuke shortcut doesn't work

I downloaded your Nuke\cmD file and saved it in the Entourage Script Menu
Items folder. When I select a message and click on toolbar Scripts /
Nuke\cmD, it permanently deletes that message. But nothing happens when I
press Control + Command + D. I exited and restarted Entourage, but that
didn't help. Any advice?

Incidentally, please update
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/delete.html to replace SomeDude
Software link with a correct link to Nuke\cmD.

Thanks

It's possible you have another shortcut with the same shortcut. Download
"List Keyboard Shortcuts". The script produces a report on all the shortcuts
you have defined for scripts, in sorted order by shortcut keys. Duplicate
shortcut definitions thus can be detected and corrected, and you can avoid
further duplicates by checking the list before defining a new shortcut.

Thanks!! I'll get that fixed.

List Keyboard Shortcuts shows that only Nuke is assigned to D+Ctl+Cmd. The
Mac Keyboard & Mouse preference screen shows that Ctl+Cmd+D is assigned to
"Look up in Dictionary". But that should take effect only when a single word
is selected, not when an entire Entourage message is selected.

Incidentally, List Keyboard Shortcuts shows weird stuff for all the
Automator Workflow shortcuts:

w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlConvert message text to audio and send to an iPod
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlCreate a .zip archive for specified messages
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlEdit selected contacts
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlPrint selected messages
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlSend image attachments to iPhoto
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlSend images on the current Safari Web page in a message
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlSend specified images in a message
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlSend the current Safari Web page URL in a message
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlSend the system profile in a message
w+Shf+Opt+Opt+Opt+CtlEdit specified contacts
w+Shf+Shf+Opt+Opt+CtlFlag selected messages for follow-up

I checked and I have the same shortcut selected in System Preferences.
Change the shortcut and see if that works. Next step....We'll need to do
some tests to see where the problem is located. Let me know what you find.

Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1) you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same issues, then create a new User
in System Preferences and test Entourage there.

If the problem is in your User's account, then log out/in with Shift key
down to disable any startup items. Test. If the problem still exists, it's
most likely a preference file that's corrupt. See these pages for help:

Find solutions for crashes, conflicts and general problems with Entourage
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/crashes.html>

Troubleshooting Basics
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/basics.html>

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it's a problem with your
base OS files. If running the Apple combo does not fix, then you might need
to do an "Archive & Install".

I see the same printout. I'll let Allen know. Probably some change in
Leopard scripting.

I changed the shortcut to Opt+Ctl+Cmd+D, and that works. Thanks for all your
help.
