Nul Character are Not allowed

Hey

I have this tiresome error message that keeps coming back to hunt me all the
time.

I have a client who i am sending an mail too, and it keeps getting turned
down cause of the error above.

now, what the client mailserver is using im not sure of, but everytime i try
to send to this person there, i get that error message.

now i can send the same mail to someone else in another company and it works
fine.
i can also send the same mail to the same person from a different computer
and it goes through, which leads me to belive that this must be my computer
that has this problem.

Now i have reinstalled the entire computer, tried Outlook 2000, Outlook
express 6, Outlook 2002, and they all come back with the same problem even
after a reinstall.

I can even write a little test mail with 4 words in it, and it gets bounced
back with failure notice, so what the heck is wrong with my computer, or is
it my computer ?

hoping for a quick response, as i really need to get those mail thingies
fixed.

Sincerely
Thomas

I am having a very similar problem as Thomas Forde. But it is not just to one recipient; when I send email to any recipient at a particular university, it gets bounced back saying: "147.226.7.81 failed after I sent the message. Remote host said: 550 Requested action not taken: NUL characters are not allowed." I can receive email from people at the univerisity, but whenever I try to reply using my Outlook (XP) 2002, my messages are undeliverable

My ISP told me that 147.226.7.81 is the DNS # for the server at the university, and that for some reason, the server did not like some NUL characters in my Outlook message. The university IT helpdesk said it seems to be a problem the way Outlook is set up on my machine

Can anyone tell me what NUL characters are and how I might resolve this problem so that I can communicate with the folks at the university
