Num Lock Stuck

I can not turn off the Num lock in excel and it's making navigation difficult. Apple care over the phone said it's the F6 key, but that's not working. There is no key with "num lock" on it like there is for "caps lock." Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, on my MacBookPro the Num Lock Key is indeed F6 (and it's labelled
as such).

It would probably be helpful if you mentioned what type of Mac/Keyboard
you're using...

HI!

Thanks. I don't have that Keypad. I have a Mac OS X 10.5 and it's a 15" laptop. My f6 key is a light toggle. Even apple care couldn't figure it out. However, it looks like the default setting in MS Excel for Mac is to have the Num Lock radio button ON. Regardless it's puzzling and amusing to me that I've still not determined what key on my laptop controls "locking numbers." is it possible there is none?

thanks!
