Number aligntment indenting

Is there anyway I can change the default so that when
using a number list it does not tab.

eg.
1. sldkfjfldkj.
2. lkdjfldjsdj.

Instead of
1. ksjdflsdjf
2. dslkfjsldj.

Apply the List Number style, which is set up just the way you want.

It only changes in the current document that I am in. I
would like to set it to where every document has this as
the default and I do not have to change it every time.

The List Number style should be the same in every document based on
Normal.dot unless you have modified it.
