On a Word 2002 file that is only 10 pages long that has been receive
via e-mail, about half way through I am attempting to change the colo
of the font and am getting the message 'The number must be between
and 600.' On the top part of the file, font color can be changed, o
the bottom half, keep getting that message. I don't see any protection
unusal formatting, etc. There is numbering on the pages which I hav
taken completely off, put back on, and still get the message. Any hel
would be much appreciated! Thanks, Jan

If you get a message "number must be between 1 and 600", it probably
means that font scaling was accidentally applied. Look at Format |
Font | Character Spacing tab | Scale and set it back to 100%.
Alternatively, try Ctrl+Spacebar to kill direct font formatting.
