Number formats

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi there,

How can I change the excel 2008 number format from e.g. $3 235,95 (three thousand two hundred and thirty five dollars and ninety five cents) to 3,235.95 (this was the old format in 2004) BUT it appears to have changed and I don't seem to be able to change it back.

It appears to me that you need to make a trip into System Preferences -
Language & Text - Formats to make sure your Region, Currency & Numbers
formats are set properly. Excel should right itself on next launch.
