Number is changed when importing XML file into excel 2007

While importing a xml file into excel 2007, numbers that are longer than 15
digits are changed.

a number like 571515179100191702 is displayed in an excel cell as
5,71515E+17 and the underlying number is 571515179100192000. For some reason
the last 3 digits are rounded off, and replaced by zero's.

Does anybody know which settings can be changed in order to allow the
correct numbers to be imported into excel?

Best regards
Daniel

Excel can only use 15 significant digits. If these are really numbers,
you'll have to accept the round off, or find some other application to use
them. If they are not really numbers (values) but stock numbers or something
similar, then precede the number with an apostrophe, and it will be treated
as text.
