Number List

If I use Fill Series to number a list of names from 1 - 50, & I delete 1 or more names from the list, how do I get the numbers to automatically re-number & reflect the fact that names have been removed from the list without having to use the Fill Series option every time. I would appreciate any help!

Thank you for your help, but if I am on line 14 of the worksheet how do I start with number 1
