It was a dark and stormy night last night when I was finishing up some
business in my Microsoft Excel for Mac spreadsheet. I hit some variety
of keys by total accident, (somewhere in the upper right part of the
keyboard around the F11/F12 and Delete keys, I suspect) and now the
right number keypad of my keyboard is not able to produce numbers.
When one presses any of the number keys, from 0 to 9, it acts as an
arrow function or TAB function, moving the cursor around the
spreadsheet. The other keys around the numbers, including the =, /, *
and other computation keys are unaffected. It's just the numbers keys.
The keypad is unaffected in all other programs, and I can use it for
generating numbers with no problem. It's only in Excel that it's
driving me nuts. It's imperative I get this function back immediately,
as it's brought my working life to a grinding halt for the moment. Can
anyone help me figure out how to restore my number generating
capabilities with the right-side keypad in Excel?
