number of import fields

I am trying to import standard Outlook Contact fields using Excel. I get the
following message:
An ODBC error has occured in Microsoft Excel Translator while opening file
to build a field map. Too many fields defined. What is the number? I
originally exported this data from one contact file, had to do a bit
massaging of data and now want to reimport. I have about 2200 contacts.
