Number of Pages Displays correctly, but prints page number

Word 2002

When I set up my page numbering as "page number"
of "total number of pages" (e.g. 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 or 4,
4 of 4),it will be displayed properly, but it prints out
the page number in both positions. (e.g. 1 of 1, 2 of 2,
3 of 3, 4 of 4)

I have run the "repair" option from my program disk.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

I found an article for Word 2000 at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;234287
that appears to be exactly on point, but it is only for
Word 2000 as it refers you to a the Microsoft Office 2000
Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a) to correct the problem.

I have downloaded all the Service Releases for Word 2002.

Your help in resolving this problem will be greatly
appreciated.

I am having the same problem and I can email my document

to another employee in the City and they can print it
correctly. I'm looking for the answer too.
