Number of pages not updated on first page

I have inserted a number-of-pages field in the header of
my document. On the first page (which has a different
header than the other pages) the number-of-pages field is
not updated when I print. On the other pages it is,
though.

Perhaps the number-of-pages field in the first-page header a
SECTIONPAGES field instead of a NUMPAGES field?
