"Number Shapes" is not working properly for "Message" Shapes

When I tried to auto number the message shapes in a UML sequence diagram using the " Number Shapes" add-in under tools->add-ins->visio-extras , an text "obj" surrounded by dotted box is displayed instead of a number prefix to the text(name
) associated with the message. What should I do to display the numbers to the message shapes?

Can anyone help me please?

I do not think that add-in is compatible with the UML shapes.

It works for the other shapes in the UML sequence.
Even for the "message shape" it creates the "shape number" field in the "shape data" and assigns the correct values. It has problem only in displaying the number in the drawing.
Instead of the number prefixed to the text, an image
of the text "obj" surrounded by dotted text box like given below is displayed

Note:
For the add-in to assign numbers to the message shapes, I had to uncheck the box for "Exclude connectors" in the Advanced tab of the "Number Shapes" Add-in box
