Numbere of times a template is used

Sarabjeet

Hi,
I want all the members of my organization to use a set template for
creating new projects. This has been conveyed to all. But some are
still creating projects as per their needs and not using the template
set.
Is it possible to get a log of some sort whenever a template is used.
This will help me to compare the number of times a template is used
and the total projects made.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I thought the information would be present in the MSP_PROJECTS table in SQL
Server, but sadly, it is not. The only way I can think of to accomplish
what you wish is to open each project that you suspect was not created using
an enterprise template, and then click File - Properties. You will see the
template used for creating the project.

Beyond this, I believe that you must make this a performance issue with your
project managers. If they are not using the designated enterprise
templates, then why not? If it is because no template exists that meets
their needs, then you must create appropriate templates. If they simply
don't want to do so, then their managers should be involved. Just some
thoughts. Hope this helps.
