Numbered list??

Hello everyone.

I have a Word Template file which when opened displays a userform. The user
selects information then clicks a button. The word document displayed is a
prefilled report for them to used based on what they selected from the
userform.

On one part of the userform they enter a number for # of sites. Based on the
# entered certain fields will be put onto the document in multiples (whatever
the # was they entered into the field).

The report should look like (for example if they entered 3 sites):

Site 1
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(b) with the exclusion of:

(i) type text here....

Site 2
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(b) with the exclusion of:

(i) type text here....

Site 3
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(b) with the exclusion of:

(i) type text here....


But instead what I'm getting is:

Site 1
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(b) with the exclusion of:

(i) type text here....

Site 2
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(c) with the exclusion of:

(ii) type text here....

Site 3
Permitted Uses
1 The permitted uses of.....

(a) with the addition of:

(i) type text here....

(d) with the exclusion of:

(iii) type text here....


Does anyone know what I need to do to get the (c)(ii) and (d)(iii) to both
display as (b)(i)??

How are you applying the numbering to the items?

However, for a document created in that way, I might be inclined to have the
code in the userform insert "hard" numbers.

Doug, Thank you for the link to the document on Shauna Kelly's website. I
learned alot and my knowledge of outline numbering is much much more than it
was. Based on what I learned I have redone how the numbering is done in my
template and it seems to be working fine now.
