Numbering a document

somebody can help me?
I need to create a template that, everytime somone clicks on it, open a
document with a progressive number.

I tried the script you had proposed and found that every time i click on the
template, it opens a document with filename changing from Document1 to
document2, and so on.

I have a genuine problem of creating invoices using a template of course it
is password protected to enable entry to only selected area of the
form/template.

More importantly I need the invoice number to be entered automatically
inside a document whenever the template is clicked. This is invoice number
is again progressive without any duplicates. Other information is entered
manually.

Can you guide me in this matter.
