numbering and excel

hi all

am new to onenote and need some help on two issues please.

when I do screen clippings of items I can manually add numbering to them
by selecting the “numbering button†on the toolbar.

I wish to do this automatically when I do a screen clipping of several items
for example 1 and 2 and so on for each clipping.

also when I create a hyperlink to a excel spreadsheet from a onenote page I
would like for it to go to a particular page in excel.

for example a spreadsheet called “things to do with cost†and there is
several pages in the excel worksheet for example “sheet day1 and day2†and so
on.

I would like the hyperlink to go to for example “things to do with cost\day2â€.

may I take this moment to thank you all in advance so much for all your help
and advice given.

many thanks.

paul.

Sorry to say so, but there is nothing built-in which might be used for
what you desire.

I assume this is on linking Excel files in ON.
Hyperlinks to external files *always* can only be done for the *file*,
not for sections inside the external file. It's just the same with Excel
as it is with Word. No way to link to certain page or paragraph in a
document.
