Numbering and styles

Lexisch

I have a style that I have automatically numbering sentences. Works great.
Now I'm ready to go to the next section, but I need the numbers to now jump
from the 1k's to the 2ks.

(section 1 is 1000 to 1300, section 2 is 2000 to 2405, section 3 is 3000 to
3604)

When I try to break the section (continuous) then tell it that I want the
numbers to restart with 2k, all of my 1k numbers change to 2k.

Thanks!

I think the autonumbering doesn't work this way, just page numbering. For what
you're doing, I think you need to set up a separate "numbering set" for each
section so that you can set with which number it should start.

Personally, I'd probably create a "base style" with all the basic paragraph
formatting. Then I'd create a style for each section, based on that style, and
link it with a number format that begins with the correct number. Just apply
the appropriate style within each section.
