Numbering Format

O

Oscar

Hello,

When I click on numbering button I receive the list as

1.
2.
3.
4.

Is there a way to change the point for a different sign
like a parenthesis or something like that?

Thanks,
Oscar.

Hi Oscar

Yes, you can do this. But only if you promise never to use the numbering
button again<g>.

Apply the List Number style. There are several ways to apply a style,
all of them listed at
How to apply a style to a paragraph or a selection of characters in Word
http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/styles/ApplyAStyle.html

Now, modify the style so that you get the punctuation you want. In
earlier forms of Word, Format > Styles > Modify > Format > Numbering. In
Word 2002 and 2003, Format > Styles and Formatting Pane. Right-click
where it says List Number, choose Modify > Format > Numbering.

Now, click the Numbered tab. Choose a panel that looks most like what
you need, click Customize and make your changes.

Hope this helps.
