Hi Support,

Please can you help?

I have a finished Word document which I would like to add
consequential sub division numbering to e.g.
1.1 rrrrrrrrrrrr
1.2 mmmmmmmmmmmm
1.3 bbbbbbbbbbbbb

Through 'bullets and numbering format' I have only
achieved non consequential numbering e.g.
1.1 rrrrrrrrrrrr
1.1 mmmmmmmmmmmm
1.1 bbbbbbbbbbbbb

Word is such a brillaint apllication, I cannot belive that
the above can only be achieved by adding sub division
numbering as the document is being typed.

Please help me.

Cheers

Janice

Hi Janice

See
How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in your Microsoft Word
document
http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html

That page talks about heading numbering, using Word's heading styles. If
don't want headings, and instead want lists within sections of your
document, you can apply the techniques described on that page using Word's
List Number styles. That is, use List Number, List Number 2 etc.

Hope this helps.
