numbering lines in tables

I am having a problem with Word automatically numbering lines outside the
boundaries of my tables. How do I stop this? The numbers affect legitimate
numbering in the document.

Debrag,
What do you mean by lines? Paragraphs, are you saying you are numbering the
rows of a table and the numbering continues outside of your table ? If that
is the case select the paragraphs beneath your table and hit Ctrl+Q.
But somehow I think there is more to this question, can you elaborate?

It is a document set up as a form. I made the tables to be able to have
separate columns. The part of the form that contains the table does not have
numbering but numbers show up outside of the table in the right hand margin.
These numbers do not print. The problem is that the main part of the form
does have numbered lists and the unwanted numbering throws this out of whack.

Debrag,
Very odd indeed, some thoughts pop up.
If you look next to your table at the numbers is there a paragraph mark next
to them or not?
If so, can you select the paragraphs and hit Ctrl+Q to eliminate the
numbering.
Also, is it not possible that you have a column with numbering applied in
it.Try going to view normal and see if you can select the column there and
delete it. Or select the table as a whole and choose Format - bullets and
numbering and click on no numbering.
Not much help I fear but you never know.
