numbering pages using VBA

I need to make the page numbering in a word document, but if the last page is
odd I have to put the actual page / actual page + 1.

And I need to customize the starting number.

You should be able to do this with a set of nested fields:

{ IF { =MOD({ NumPages }) } = 0 "{ NumPages }" "{ = { Numpages } + 1 }" }

Note that you must press Ctrl+F9 to insert the field bracket pairs { }. When you
done, press Alt+F9 to toggle the field codes off.

And I need to customize the starting number.
