Numbering problem in header

Word 2002.
Header contains page number info ie 1 of 3
The correct numbers are shown on the screen, but
intermittently when printing, the header prints as 1 0f
1, 2 of 2, etc
What is the reason, and what if any, is the fix?

Don't worry folks.
I found the answer in the listing - don't know how I
missed it first time around.
