Numbering Steps

I have a manual with different steps (how to). I am using
numbered lists with a custom style. How to logon, How to
change your password, etc.

I have been copying the previous steps and editing the
changes to save time. I restart numbering back to one --
but when I save or come back those steps have switched
back to continuous numbering from the previous steps!!

I have run into this problem before but I forget how I
fixed it. Does it have to do with me copying the numbered
steps? I cannot remember. Should I use a field code to
reset numbering?????

Hi Gwen

Yes, pasting does tend to mess up manually applied restart markers. It
sounds like you may have previously used a LISTNUM field to reset number to
0 - you insert this at the *end* of each list.
