Numbering with leading zeros

When I customize the style, I can set numbering scheme to pattern: 01, 02,
03... 99, 100 etc.

How can I set this scheme to use more than 2 characters? Something like:
001, 002... 999, 1000...
or
0001, 0002...

THX in advance.

You can't. Use a SEQ field instead eg
{SEQ para \# "0000"}
