In Lotus 1-2-3 I could enter the following in a cell (without the quotes);
"1234; previous forecast was 5678" and the cell contents would display 1234.
This was great becasue Lotus treated 1234 as a value but ignore the text
after the semi-colon. It was an easy way of noting what a previous number
was without using the additional key strokes and time associated with cell
comments. How do I do the same in Excel without getting an error or using
cell comments?
