Numbers formatted as text

Hi Folks,

I just received a workbook as an email attachment. All the
sheets have some amount of data that are numbers formatted
as text. I need to change this to a general format.
Whenever I try selecting a range and doing the COPY/F2/
ENTER method, only the first cell in the range is changed
to the general format. I've tried selecting the whole
sheet also with the same result. Just selecting a range
and doing FORMAT CELLS doesn't work. How can I use the
COPY/F2/ENTER method over a large range?

Thanks for your help!
Biff

Copy an empty cell and then select a range of numbers formatted as text.
Now go to Edit > Paste Special, choose "Add", and click OK.
