numbers to text

i am trying to convert a numerical number (3) to a text
format (three). i have tried the TEXT function but am not
sure what to put in the Format_text place setting of the
formula [Text(3,Format_text)]. Please help.

Jamie,

Either put
=TEXT(A1,"0") or =TEXT(A1,"General") if you want to suppress leading zeroes,
or
=TEXT(A1,"000") if you want them

No built-in Function, but you can build your own User Defined Function using
the info at:
